Supply Chain Lead

Description of Role

The Supply Chain lead is positioned as the interface between Product Delivery team, Sales team and the partners that are in charge of shipping, fulfilment and repair related services for Angee products. In this role, SCL is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies as well as recommending creative solutions to ever changing challenges. The position requires an interest in market dynamics and competitive behaviour, negotiation and pricing, manufacturing/repair processes, and risk mitigation.


Key Areas, Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role

  • Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop supply chain strategy
  • Proven expertise with multiple import and export models to, from, and within the Americas region for land, ocean, and air modes
  • Experience scoping solutions with pros/cons related to legal and tax implications, customer experience, speed, and import costs


Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Experience with the management of vendors, contract manufacturers
  • Proven procurement, negotiating and leadership skills
  • A record of being thorough, quick, adaptable, and analytical
  • Proven project management and cross-functional teaming skills
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or fulfilment services desired
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Poise when confronted with sudden setbacks
  • A knack for negotiation
  • Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
  • Thirst for knowledge and the ability to learn quickly
  • Interest in technology and/or operations (experience preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
