Description of Role

TechOps Lead is responsible for managing the production infrastructure, deployment process and technical customer support. The primary responsibility is to ensure smooth operations to provide service to customers including planning and managing release cycles, deployment and production environment. TechOps lead is also responsible for managing the Software QA Process.

Key Areas, Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role

  • Production environment management
  • Software Release planning and management
  • Software Deployment planning and management
  • Is reported to by the QA, Technical Support and DevOps teams
  • Plan, build and reinforce IT operations related processes and practices
  • Reports progress and results to management
  • Manage external partners

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Experience with working in diverse cloud software operations
  • Experience in global or at least international customer service support leadership role
  • Strong management skills in related fields and experience of a min. of 2 years
  • Excellent communication, great writing and process description skills
  • Problem-solving attitude, self-motivation and resourcefulness
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as required from time to time
  • Highly organised and process oriented
  • Confidence with a small ego

Advantage – specific, relevant technology experience in

  • AWS-based infrastructure management
  • Global SaaS support and operations management
  • Deployment of system w/ embedded hardware
